VILLA IN KIFISIA

“Shades of black and white”

Design purpose was to form the interior of the newly built 600m2 villa in a way that could satisfy a multi-generational living, both parents and young sons, exploiting most of villa’s spaces with functional structures and furniture, and at the same time presenting an impressive result in the common areas.

It was decided to design the interior in the shades of black and white in order to match the colours and materials of the building, as the house has white Dionysos’ marble flooring and white surroundings. In order to beautify the quite “hard” effect of the white and black colours, a wide range of materials and textures has been used for variety, warmth and balance, such as black vintage leathers, black and white shiny lacquers in furniture, vertical elements with hidden illumination, fine wallpapers with golden strokes, and laser cut surfaces to decorate the fireplace, which, in this way acquired the volume needed to dominate the space. The Display has been integrated in a discreet way, without taking awaythe aesthetic effect of the interior.

An impressive 2-sided sofa with a total length of 11 meters was custom designed to crossthe living room, filling all the potential space gaps, adding balance and providing the ability to accommodate numerous guests on special occations. The dining table was designed using white Skyros’ marble to match the black marbe flooring and has integrated with hidden LED lighting. With a total length of 6 meters, the table can sit comfortably up to 18 people in a combination of modern and classic chairs with fine fabrics, that were also scattered as decorative pillows in the sofa area for the necessary shades of glow. Special black laquered showcases with lighting have been designed to host family’s favourite pieces of art.

Each family member’s private room, has been designed according to their personal taste. The everyday sitting room was enriched with earthy shades as a flow from the garden and pool.
